Our speaker this month is Kristopher Harper who has a background of working with and showing Fuchsias for 20+ years. His presentation will cover advice on growing and caring for fuchsias. His talk will include advice on how to take cuttings in the Autumn by cutting stock plants back in July or August in order to get healthy new growth, ideal for taking cuttings. He will then discuss how to transplant and grow on cuttings to get them to show standard. Kristopher will also discuss pests and diseases that affect fuchsias, one of the worst pests for fuchsias being vine weevil, also fuchsia gall mite. Kristopher will give advice on how to avoid and manage such problems to give you healthy and beautiful fuchsias in your garden.

How to grow Vegetables for Exhibition – Part 1

One of our most experienced members in vegetable growing will talk about and give guidance on growing vegetables for exhibition.  Session open to society members and members of our affiliated societies, free of charge. This is the first of three sessions.  No requirement to attend all sessions - each one will concentrate on action at the actual time of the session. This will take place in the Norwich area, to the west of the city.  Please contact the General Secretary if you wish to take part.
