Fakenham Gardening Club Autumn Gardening Fayre

Our Autumn Gardening Fayre will be held on Saturday 14th September at the Hempton Memorial Hall, The Green, Hempton NR21 7LG. Entries include dahlias, chrysanthemums and other autumn flowers, fruit, vegetables, flower arrangements, photography, craft and homemade produce. There are 54 classes in all.
We welcome entries from non members. A schedule is downloadable from our website which not only lists the classes but also the entry requirements and process.
If you just want to visit and feast your eyes on the display, then we are open from 11:30am to 2:00pm. There is a prize raffle, a ‘guess the weight’ competition. There will be representatives from the Norfolk Master Composters who are happy to talk about composting and will have examples of equipment. John Shirland, our Vice Chair, who has a long career in horticulture will be demonstrating bulb planting. There will also be plants and seeds for sale.
Country Markets will be providing refreshments including some homemade cakes and sausage rolls.
