A talk on companion planting for a balanced garden by Dr Ian Bedford.
A private visit to Chestnut Farm, West Beckham for members, affiliated society members and their guests. A lovely spring garden which will feature Hellebores, Snowdrops and many other early flowers. £7.50 per person, includes tea and cake. Pruning with Bob Coutts Bob was Head Gardener at Somerleyton Hall for many years, and shares his knowledge of pruning shrubs and trees, including the reasons and tools for the job. Visitors £2 with raffle and refreshments.
AGM and social. Meetings are free to members (membership is £8 a year running from April.) Non members are very welcome at a small charge of £2.50 per meeting.
Our meeting in March will be on Monday 13th March 2023. Dr Ian Bedford will give a presentation on “Companion Planting for a Balanced Garden”. Meeting is free to members. In March our primary event is the Group Spring Table Show at Hethersett. The judge for the show will be Michael Sullivan a member of the Essex Group. Michael will also give us a short talk titled ‘Hybridisation, Saxifraga, Lewisia, and Correa’.
